BMW to unveil Vision EfficientDynamics in India on 10th of May

Remember the Sci-fi car that was spotted on the streets of Mumbai when the crew of Mission Impossible 4 was shooting on the streets of the city? BMW is planning to unveil the same futuristic looking car, namely Vision Efficientdynamics in India. The car will be unveiled in New Delhi in a grand function on the 10th of May 2011. Praful Patel, Honorable Minister for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises will unveil the car in presence ofMr. Thomas Matussek, German Ambassador to India. Dr. Andreas Schaaf, President, BMW India will address the press conference.
BMW Vision efficientdynamics

BMW Vision EfficientDynamics is a diesel-electric hybrid concept. Powered by a 1.5-liter turbo diesel engine, electric batteries and electric motors, the car aims at minimising energy consumption and maximising range without compromising on the fun to drive factor. The combination of the car’s efficient diesel and batteries could produce as much as 356bhp of peak power when really required along with a peak torque of a monstrous 800Nm. Equipped with technologies such a brake energy recuperation and exhaust heat recycle, the Vision EfficientDynamics promises to be one of the most advanced hybrid around when it makes its debut.
