With hallmark BMW proportions and styling that has been slightly tweaked, the four door BMW 6 Series Gran Coupé has been launched in India. Subtle styling changes include a kidney grille that now gets nine slats, large air inlets in the remodeled apron, redesigned LED headlights as standard and a different design for the alloy wheels.

On the inside, important driving-related information is provided by the high-resolution, free-standing Control Display with glass casing and galvanised surround. The gear selector and iDrive Touch Controller have ceramic embellishers. The characteristic interior design is dominated by the driver-focused cockpit.
The new BMW 6 Series Gran Coupé has a plethora of BMW ConnectedDrive driver assist systems and services. These include the next generation of BMW iDrive with touch controller, BMW Navigation Professional (integrated Global Positioning System – GPS) with 10.2 inch colour display with 3D maps, full-colour BMW Head-Up Display, Connectivity through Bluetooth and USB devices, high-end Surround Sound system from Bang & Olufsen and BMW Apps. Park Distance Control rear and front along with rear view camera come as standard.
Powered by a TwinPower Turbo diesel engine, the engine powering the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupé 309 bhp and 630 Nm of torque between 1,500 and 2,500 rpm. The Coupe accelerates to 100 km/hr in 5.4 seconds with the ability to achieve a top speed of 250 km/hr. Power is transmitted to the wheels via an eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission with Cruise Control that adapts to suit individual driving styles. Shift Paddles behind the sports steering wheel facilitate manual gear shifts. Using the Driving Experience Control switch, the driver is able to choose between different driving modes to suit the driving conditions (ECO PRO, Comfort, Comfort+ and Sport). In addition, Dynamic Damper Control adapts the shock absorber characteristics and adjusts to suit both the road condition and driving style.
Safety comes in the form of air bags, Adaptive LED headlights and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC). Intelligent Lightweight Construction, Auto Start-Stop, ECO PRO mode, Brake-Energy Regeneration, 50:50 Weight Distribution and many other innovative technologies ensure the coupe is fun to drive without compromising on efficiency.
The new BMW 6 Series Gran Coupé is available in Alpine White as non-metallic paintwork and in the following nine metallic paintworks: Black Sapphire, Cashmere Silver, Glacier Silver, Space Grey, Jatoba, Melbourne Red, Mediterranean Blue andMineral White. The standard Dakota and exclusive Nappa leather upholstery is available in Black and Ivory White colour combinations. Interior trims offered are Fineline Brown and Fine-wood trim Poplar Grain Grey.
BMW Design Pure Experience package comes with extended bicolour Nappa leather upholstery in Cognac/Black. Other features in the interior include ambient lighting and a sports leather steering wheel. Exclusive 19-inch light alloy wheels, LED fog lights, Shadow Line and dark chrome exhaust pipes. The radiator grille slats, air inlet surrounds and decorative trim on the rear apron are also in dark chrome.
