Enjoying its second innings in the country, Benelli has been selling quite a few motorcycles in the market right now. The brand offers a number of motorcycles in the market right now, from entry level faired motorcycles to full-fledged adventure tourers. Their entry-level motorcycles, the TNT 300 and the 302R have received a price cut. This price cut has been made possible due to a reduction in manufacturing costs of the motorcycle. The new prices are INR 2.99 Lakh for the TNT300 and INR 3.10 Lakh for the 302R, which is a price cut of INR 51,000 and INR 60,000 respectively.
While the 302R is a faired machine the TNT 300 is a naked street fighter, using a similar platform and engine. Powering both these motorcycles is a 300cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin, DOHC motor with a 6-speed transmission. This motor is tuned to produce 38.26 bhp at 11,500 rpm and 26.5 Nm @ 10,000 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed transmission. Suspension duties are provided by inverted telescopic fork up front and a hydraulic monoshock at the rear. Anchorage is provided by dual disc brakes up front and a single disc at the rear. With an even more affordable price now, Benelli can hope to boost their sales in our market.
Vikas Jhabakh, Managing Director, Benelli India said, “We strongly believe in the value proposition of our products and customer sentiments towards the brand Benelli. We have witnessed a significant reduction in the manufacturing cost of the TNT 300 and 302R models and this has helped us to pass on the benefit to the biking enthusiasts in India.”
