We got an official communication about Bajaj about the launch of a new 125cc variant of Bajaj, back on March 8th. We shared the information with you along with the pictures, albeit without the price. Now Bajaj have officially launched the bike with a price tag of Rs 45,500 for the drum brake version and Rs 48,000 for the disc brake version.
As most of you would recollect, the Discover started its journey as a 125cc bike. Later, the bike was presented with a variety of engine options, which at one point threatened to kill its identity as a brand. However, last year when the R & D and marketing team at Bajaj launched the brand in the commuter guise, it rewrote the history for the Pune based company registering extremely strong sales.
Over years, the Discover brand has crossed the milestone of 4 million vehicles since its launch in 2004. At present, the Discover is available in two segments, the Discover 100 for the economy conscious, and the Discover 150 for those who value performance, but not at the cost of practicality and economy. The new Discover presents a product which straddles the 100cc and 150cc segment.
The 125 cc engine is powered by Bajaj’s proven DTS-i technology. Distinct graphics and color combination will be the key visual differentiators between the Discover siblings.
