Audi Q3 caught testing in Mumbai. Again!

Recently, our friends at Goa On Wheels caught an undisguised Audi Q3 being tested in Mumbai. Again!

The vehicle is in last stages of testing  and will be launched at the upcoming Delhi Auto Expo. According to the good folks at Goa On Wheels, the test mule was accompanied by the new version of A4 sedan albeit with a smashed rear bumper! Very similar to the BMW X1, Audi Q3 created quite a stir throughout the international markets, what with it carrying the “Cheapest Audi ever” tag.  The mini SUV is primarily targeted at the BMW X1, Toyota Fortuner & Hyunda Santa FE and will join Audi Q5 & Q7 to increase the Audi SUV line up to three vehicles. The Audi Q3 will be priced in the 19- 25 Lakh rupee price bracket.

Like with many Audi vehicles, the upcoming Q3 shares its platform with a Volkswagen. This Audi is based on VW Tiguan and is likely to be launched with an option of a four wheel drive. This will enable Q3 to sport a one upmanship status over its counterpart rival the BMW X1.The ‘mini-Audi SUV’ will share the 2 litre diesel mill with the A4,Jetta and Passat sedans with a 6-Speed Automatic transmission.
