Audi India registers record sales

Last month has turned out to be a record achieving one for Audi India. The Ingolstadt based automotive outfit shifted 205 units out of its showrooms in September. It does not sound to be much of a feat unless you are informed that the manufacturer sold 81 cars in the same month last year.  That ladies and gentlemen, is a 153% sales growth compared to the same period last year.

Audi has not shied away from introducing its upgraded car models to the Indian market. The German manufacturer introduced its new Q5, Q7, A6 and engine options for the A4 this year. This decision has helped the manufacturer to gain ground on the sales chart.  In fact, Audi India has already notched up sales of 1,128 cars in the period from January to August while last year it sold a total of 1,050 units.

According to Mr. Benoit Tiers, Managing Director, Audi India, the increasing sales indicates the growing dominance of the Audi brand among car enthusiasts in the country and the manufacturer is keen to build on this strong foundation.
