The styling and features of TVS new cruiser

It is evident from the image that the new TVS flagship cruiser will get a non-retro cruiser profile. The key elements comprise the circular headlight, USD front forks, and a curvy design on the fuel tank. Moreover, the bike will get a bigger engine and a single exhaust pipe. The comfort of this bike will be accentuated by a swept-back wide handlebar and forward-oriented foot pegs.

The development of a new cruiser bike is expected to use the craftsmanship of Norton Motorcycles British brand. As TVS recently acquired Norton Motorcycles in 2020 at 153 crores. In April 2022, TVS announced that they will invest £100 million (over INR1,000 crores) in the Norton Motorcycles brand. This investment depicts that the brand is serious about the development of new-generation motorcycles.

Could it be the TVS Zeppelin Cruiser?

At Auto Expo 2018, TVS showcased its Zeppelin Cruiser concept bike. The bike comprises of a striking fuel tank, USD forks, sweptback handlebars, and spoke wheels with disc brakes. These elements result in the raw and metallic look of the bike with a non-retro charm.

The brand has recently applied for a new design trademark. And, the leaked image of the patent also comprises similar USD forks and sweptback handlebars. It is even expected that the upcoming TVS cruiser bike will be based on the same platform as Ronin. Moreover, the silhouette will be like the TVS Ronin with a muscular design.

The Powertrain specs of the upcoming Cruiser

In the recently leaked image, it is evident that the new cruiser bike has a bigger wide-body engine. However, the cylinder count of the engine is unknown. We can expect a 650 to 700cc parallel-twin-cylinder engine from Norton Motorcycles. In this segment, the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 uses a 648cc parallel twin engine. The 648cc engine churns out 47ps of power and 53nm of torque coupled to a 6-Speed Transmission.

The Suspension and Launch timeline

The Suspension set-up of the bike will include the twin-shock absorbers at the rear. With this setup, it is expected that the bike will deliver a new exhilarating riding experience.

Currently, there is no clarity about the launch timeline of the upcoming TVS flagship cruiser. However, the brand will soon launch a new cruiser in the market. Furthermore, TVS is working on new products like electric 2-wheelers, the naked streetfighter version of Apache RR310, etc.
