Yamaha R India

Another rendering of the Yamaha R25 surfaces on the web

Yamaha R25 India

The Yamaha YZF-R25 as termed by motorcycle aficionados and Yamaha fans alike has been no less than a mirage in the desert. There have been rumours, rumours and rumours about Yamaha’s much anticipated motorcycle when it came to the Indian biking scenario, until Mr. Hiroyuki Suzuki (MD & CEO- Yamaha Motor India) confirmed that the 250 would be out next year in India to compete against the CBR250R and the KTM Duke 200.

Though there haven’t been any sightings or spy images as regards the styling of the bike is concerned, Japanese Magazine YOUNG had the Yamaha R25 rendering on their cover highlighting cues similar to the Yamaha R125 sporting a tubular chassis unlike the perimeter frame on the Yamaha R15. But the absence of the delta-frame seemed to have been compensated by a chubby swingarm, USD forks, new design alloy wheels and a larger disc brake setup.

Since the last rendering there has been complete silence over the Yamaha R25, before YOUNG Magazine’s rendering of the motorcycle has again been floated by Indonesian Motorcycle Site TMCBlog.com. The frontal view of the Yamaha R25 rendering makes it a greater delight to look at. Twin projector setup, sharp LED indicators and a day light running LED strip at the bottom of the lights as in the current generation Yamaha YZF-R1 in an even more aggressive form might set lot of hearts racing- if the real bike would be anywhere close to this design.

But right now the Yamaha R25 lies somewhere in the hidden vicinity of Yamaha’s headquarters and how do we wish the bike to be similar to the renderings. But we’re extremely hopeful as YOUNG Magazine had hit bulls eye last time with their images of the Honda CBR400RR and the resemblance is out to see.

Fingers crossed.
