All You Need To Know About The Hyundai Palisade SUV

Hyundai has finally announced the US launch of its new 8-seater SUV, which could act as the replacement of the 7-seater Santa Fe XL. The upcoming SUV is named Palisade and will be launched in the US in the next few weeks. Whether it will come to India could be anybody’s guess. The 2020 Palisade was unveiled at the 2018 LA Auto Show and is still in the pre-production phase. This latest Hyundai SUV is specifically designed to pamper its users and customers, with exciting premium tech, and safety features. The Hyundai Palisade is unlike any other SUV we’ve seen from the carmaker till date.

The official specifications and features have not been revealed yet, but in terms of engine and transmission, the Palisade is expected to get the same engine as the Santa Fe XL, a 3.3-litre, V6 engine which can produce up to 290 HP at 6,400 rpm and 342 Nm of peak torque at 5,200 rpm. The engine is also expected to be paired with Hyundai’s 6-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC as standard. The Palisade is a 4-Wheel Drive SUV and will be equipped with many off-road assists too. The SUV will get an option of 18 or 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, and an electronic handbrake which will be much easier to use and will also save a lot of space.

In terms of design and features, the car is completely built as a luxury SUV with a fluidic design and a premium gloss finish. The car will be available in 7 shades: Hyper White, Lagoon Silver, Steel Graphite, Sierra Burgundy, Moonlight Cloud, Forest Rain and Becketts Black. The car is also loaded with advanced safety features like a Blind view monitor, ultrasonic rear occupant alert, safe exit assist, RCCA (Rear Cross-Traffic Avoidance-Assist), Front Collision Avoidance Assist and a smart Cruise Control system. The Palisade also gets 3rd-row power-folding seats, a fully Digital Instrument cluster, an in-car Intercom, a 10.25-inch touchscreen multimedia display and a hands-free smart power tailgate. Just like the Hyundai Venue, the Palisade will also be equipped with the Blue Link technology, for faster and effortless communication.
