We reported when Maruti Suzuki unveiled the 2013 Wagon R facelift without any fanfare. It may be noted that the Wagon R is one of the bread and butter models for the nation’s largest car maker and has been among the toppers on Indian auto industry sales charts since some time now.
The Wagon R, which got a comprehensive model update a couple of years back, has now got a mild facelift to stay fresh in our rapidly growing car market.
As is evident from the pics, the WagonR refresh gets a chunkier front bumper and a revised grille with chrome garnish. Other changes to the exteriors include different fog-lamps housing and a larger air dam.
Maruti Wagon R facelift is available in 7 colors- Passion Red, Ecru Beige, Glistening Grey, Superior White, Breeze Blue, Silky Silver and Baker’s Chocolate.
Maruti claims that the new car is 8% more fuel efficient with a fuel economy of 20.51 kmpl. Maruti says that the improved fuel efficiency is the result of its engineers being successful in lowering the engine friction and improving the combustion.
The 2013 Maruti Suzuki Wagon R is OBD-II compliant, which means that the users will be warned by the car in case of any malfunction. The transmission gets less viscous oil for smoother shifts.
On the inside, the car gets a new dual-tone beige & black interior colour theme and a push-type storage box on the dashboard. The top of the line VXI trim gets a new “Eagle Wings” audio system with USB support.
