The all new Mercedes Benz SL finally breaks cover. SL class has been the perfect blend of sportiness, style and the aura of a 3 pointed star since last 60 years.And every time a new SL is launched, it greets the world with ground breaking innovations. The latest version has become the first SL to be constructed almost entirely from aluminium and the car is lighter than the previous generation by a good 140 kilograms. The highly rigid all-aluminium bodyshell provides roll characteristics that have never been seen on a SL before. The new SL is said to be more agile and sporty when compared to the outgoing version. The car also gets BlueDIRECT engine technology that makes the car more powerful and yet, bumps up the fuel economy by 29% when compared to the older generation of the car.
Other new features include the unique FrontBass system that comes with the very potent In-Car Entertainment (ICE) system. Also, the car gets MAGIC VISION CONTROL- marketing speak for adaptive windscreen wipe/wash system that supplies water from the wiper blades itself.
The SL is ready to make its International debut in July 2012.
