This is the Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari. A fiat 500 which is made to pay tribute to the prancing horse. The car will be selling in the UK, and the price? Well, in Indian money, it will put you back by Rs 21 lakh (30,000 pounds), in the UK that is. If ever Fiat India plans to import it, after duties it will cost close to 45 lakhs here. Now that’s quite a big price to pay for such a small car.
So what does the Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari have under its skin to command such a huge price tag? Well, to start with, it’s got a retuned Fiat 500 1.4 Abarth esseese turbo engine. It now produces 178horses, which is 20 more than the ‘usual’ Abarth motor. You also get a Ferrari-inspired exterior with Carbon ORVMs, Corsa Grey alloy wheels and intake vents.
But does that extra money and more power make the new Abarth any quicker? The esseese does a 0-100km/h sprint in 7.6 seconds. We reckon the more powerful engine will make go slightly faster for sure. Also, to handle the extra power, the 695 Tributo Ferrari also has better suspension, better tyres and huge 284mm Brembo brakes at the front. The variable pressure sports exhaust makes sure that this baby emits extraordinary, Ferrari-sque music above a certain rev range.
This car come with flappy paddle shifters to operate the ‘Abarth Competizione’ gearbox which has both manual and auto modes. Also on the offer are leather bucket seats and aluminium pedals.
