2023 Tata Nexon Facelift: Exterior Details

Homegrown automaker Tata Motors has been finding immense success in the Indian market with its range of models like the Punch, Altroz, Tiago, & Nexon. Despite being a sub-4 metre compact SUV, the Nexon has been seen topping the monthly sales charts multiple times, overtaking cars like the Maruti Alto & WagonR, which are much lower priced.

However, the Nexon has started feeling outdated when compared to its rivals and is also due for a facelift. Tata is also seen readying the facelifted Nexon by testing the model under camouflage on the country’s roads. Even with the camouflage, we can make out some of the exterior styling details of the new Nexon by looking at its spy shots.

The interiors of the facelifted Nexon have already been revealed thanks to the spied images and you can read our story about the same here. For now, let us go through the exterior looks of the Nexon facelift.

2023 Tata Nexon Facelift: Curvv-Inspired Exterior Design Elements

The spied images & footage reveal more details about the updated face of the Nexon hiding under camouflage. The revamped Nexon SUV will borrow design and styling cues from the Tata Curvv concept. We expect the model to get a new grille laden with diamond-shaped inlays alongwith a more upright stance and a flatter nose than the current model.

It could feature a connected LED light bar covering the width of the front and merging with the Tata logo at the centre. The new version will likely offer a split LED headlight design, which will be in line with the Punch and Harrier SUVs. The main headlight will sit lower on the bumper and it could feature LED projector headlamps.

At the rear, Tata will be changing the rear end with an all-new bumper, LED taillights, and an overall design inspired off the Curvv concept. The model will also get connected LED taillamps linked together from end to end by an LED light bar. This design element will be catering to the current market trend.

The rear of the Nexon facelift gets a unique element. That’s the rear wiper which is placed uniquely inside the rear spoiler, on top of the rear windscreen. This exact rear wiper setup can be seen on many premium cars like Hyundai Tucson, Jaguar & Land Rover cars, etc. The integrated rear spoiler, more upright boot lid, refreshed alloy wheels, a shark fin antenna, and slightly raked rear windshield can also be seen.

2023 Tata Nexon Facelift: Possible Powertrain Options

The upcoming Tata Nexon SUV is likely to come equipped with the new 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine which was showcased with the Curvv, and is capable of churning 123bhp and 225Nm. It will also have the same 1.5-litre diesel unit, which produces 113bhp. There’s no clarity about which gearbox options will the  Nexon facelift be on offer with.
