2019 Honda Rebel 300 Get New Colours and Updated Looks

Currently, the entry-level cruiser segment was ruled by Royal Enfield which has managed to thump into the heart of the audience over the years. However, at that point in time, customers did not have any choice and nowhere else to go, until the revival of the Jawa brand. The Jawa brand brought some competition to the Royal Enfield brand and now, customers have 2 brands to chose from. Although very different from each other, both these brands have been supported by a wonderful history of the brands and attracting more and more customers every day. However, there are no international player in this segment yet, which would change in the near future with the launch of the Benelli Imperiale 400, but, what if Honda too, comes for a piece of the action in this segment with the Rebel 300 cruiser. For the 2019 model year, this cruiser comes with new colour options and some additional features.

In its latest avatar, the Rebel comes in three vibrant colour options – Pearl Cadet Grey, Candy Energy Orange and Matte Axis Grey Metallic. The rider sits low, at a height of 691 mm which helps riders to manage the 165 kg motorcycle across corners. In typical cruiser fashion, the Rebel also comes with round headlights in the front which appear to be conventionally illuminated. The Rebel is an international model and comes with many cosmetic changes depending on the market it is released in. For the Thai customers, the motorcycle also comes with an ABS module, taking care of the rider in panic braking situations, and 16-inch alloy wheels wrapped in fat, bobber style tyres.

Powering this cruiser is a 286cc, single cylinder motor which is liquid cooled and comes with fuel injection. The motor can generate a healthy 27.3 PS of peak power and 27 Nm peak torque. The power is sent to the rear wheel via a 6-speed gearbox. The job of keeping this amount of power in check is done by a twin calliper 296mm front disc and single calliper 240 mm rear disc. While we pray that this motorcycle is offered in India, at a competitive price point, do have a look at some of the images of this lovely cruiser.
