2017 Nissan GT-R arrives at dealerships ahead of reported November 9 launch

The Nissan GT-R, also known as Godzilla, is heading towards us and, very fast! More than a month ago, images of the first lot of the 2017 Nissan GT-R surfaced on the web creating waves of excitement that the launch is not too far away. Now, a new set of images suggest that the GT-R’s have started arriving at the dealerships.

That isn’t the only thing which lies in store. A certain source also suggests that the launch date for the GT-R in India has been confirmed. More on that later as we tell you a few things about the GT-R spied at a local dealership. While bookings for Godzilla began last month for an amount of INR 25 lakh, the GT-R as seen in the spy is covered in pre-delivery wraps.

Potential customers of the upcoming Nissan GT-R were recently given an opportunity to test-drive the model ahead of its impending launch. It is also believed that the first customer of the 2017 GT-R is likely to be Bollywood actor John Abraham, who is also the brand ambassador for the company in India. The launch of the supercar, as reports suggest, will take place on 9th November.

Powering the 2017 Nissan GT-R is the 3.8-litre turbocharged V6 engine tuned to produce a maximum power output of 570 PS while the peak torque is rated at 637 Nm. This motor will send power to the wheels via a six speed dual clutch transmission. The aforementioned powertrain will help the GT-R to sprint from 0-100 kmph in less than three seconds.
