2017 MV Agusta Brutale 800 Bookings Open, India Launch Likely Soon

Previous reports suggested that MV Agusta will launch the new Brutale 800 in India soon. Now, the Indian arm of the Italian sports bike manufacturer has officially opened bookings for the 2017 Brutale 800 ahead of its launch that is expected to take place this month.

Although MV Agusta India has not revealed the booking amount for the new Brutale 800, the company has officially shared an image through its social media channels revealing that bookings for the model have begun. The 2017 Brutale 800 will be brought to India via the Semi Knocked Down (SKD) route.

Propelling the new MV Agusta Brutale 800 is a Euro 4 compliant 798 cc in-line three cylinder engine that is tuned to produce 109 bhp at 11,500 rpm and 83 Nm of torque at 7600 rpm. The model also receives a few visual updates that include a full LED headlamp, LED turn indicators, redesigned tail light, new handlebar, instrument panel and controls. The company also offers slipper clutch, switchable ABS, eight level traction control, riding modes and and integrated multi-map Ride-By-Wire System.

Braking duties on the 2017 MV Agusta Brutale 800 are taken care of by a dual 320mm floating disc setup with four piston calipers at the front and a 220mm single disc setup at the rear. Up-front, the model is equipped with 43mm Marzochhi forks while a Sachs Monoshock unit does duty at the rear.  Expect the 2017 MV Agusta Brutale 800 to arrive in India with price tag of about INR 15 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, the model will rival the 2017 Triumph Street Triple range, Kawasaki Z900 and the Ducati Monster 821.
