Based on the Grand i10 facelift that was launched in February this year, the compact sedan is expected to get a few visual tweaks apart from a new infotainment system and a bigger engine. Taking cues from its hatchback sibling, the Xcent facelift is likely to receive a redesigned grille, broader grille and LED DRLs positioned in the fog-lamp section. At the rear, the model will feature a refreshed boot lid with wider, two-piece tail lamps.

Changes to the interior of the Xcent facelift, although unconfirmed, would be limited to a new 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The feature is currently available on the Grand i10- facelift.

Powering the Hyundai Xcent facelift will be a 1.2-litre four cylinder petrol engine and a new 1.2-litre three cylinder diesel engine. While the former will continue to produce 82 bhp and 114 NM of torque, the latter, a new diesel unit that made its debut on the Grand i10, will produce 74 bhp and 190 Nm of torque. Transmission options will include a five speed manual transmission as standard while a four speed automatic transmission will be available exclusively for the petrol variant.
