Automobili Lamborghini has announced a new arrival in the Huracan family, and this time, the model in question is the Huracan Spyder RWD, a.k.a. the Huracan Spyder LP 580-2. The rear wheel drive Huracan Spyder will be launched in 2017 and later on, make its way to Indian shores as well.

Coming back to Los Angeles where the model was unveiled, the Huracan RWD with a soft top is propelled by the 5.2-litre naturally aspirated engine that is capable of producing a peak power output of 572 hp while the maximum torque stands at 540 Nm. These specifics are sent to the rear wheels with the help of a seven speed dual clutch automatic transmission.
Speeds of 0-100 kmph can be attained in a mere 3.6 seconds all the way up to a top speed of 319 kmph. While we are still at figures, let me also tell you that the soft top of the Huracan Spyder RWD can be opened or closed in 17 seconds up to speeds of 50 kmph. The weight distribution now accounts for 40% at the front and 60% at the rear while the model is 33 kg lighter than its AWD sibling.

Visual cues that separate the Lamborghini Huracan Spyder AWD from the Lamborghini Huracan Spyder RWD are redesigned front and rear bumpers that now sport larger air intakes and a slightly modified grille. At the time of the launch, the Huracan Spyder LP 580-2 will be priced in between the Huracan AWD Coupe and the Huracan RWD.
