We have been constantly updating you guys about the next gen Maruti Suzuki Swift hatchback. Camouflaged test mules of the upcoming model have been spotted quite a number of times in different countries. We saw its updated exterior styling, also got a glimpse of the interiors and we must say, the details are pretty impressive. While we are drooling over the 2017 Swift hatchback, its compact sedan sibling has been spotted for the first time in India by Motoroids fan Anirudh Verma.
Here’s how the 2017 Suzuki Swift’s interiors will look like; SVHS confirmed
The Swift Dzire has been one of Maruti Suzuki’s most successful models in the country and with the upcoming Dzire the company expects to repeat the success story. As seen from the latest spy pics, the Swift Dzire features the same design cues as seen on the hatchback model. Up front, the Swift-like looks comprise of a hexagonal grille, redesigned headlamps and front bumper; all of which will be tweaked a bit with chrome trimmings to suit the Dzire’s persona. Coming to the sides, the free flowing lines start from the front fender and arc as they runs through the doors. The geometry of the boot is similar to the current gen Dzire but this one gets a more prominent spoiler. Interestingly, the rear door handle sits under the window instead of the ‘adjacent’ placement as seen on the hatchback. The new Dzire also gets new turbine style rims.

Powering the next-gen Dzire will be the same 1.2-litre VVT petrol and 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engines available on the current generation model, while the SHVS mild hybrid system is also confirmed with the diesel variant. Reportedly, the car manufacturer is working on an all-new 1.5-litre diesel engine. The spy pics don’t reveal anything of the interiors but we can expect the feature set to be similar to the one inside the next-gen Swift hatchback. The next-gen Dzire will feature a sportier instrument cluster, a new MFD, automatic climate control with integrated digital display, a new three-spoke multi-function steering wheel, as well as a touchscreen-equipped SmartPlay infotainment system. The 2017 Suzuki Swift is expected to be out on sale in 2017 so we can expect the new Dzire to be rolled out around the same time.
