Nissan launched the 2017 GT-R in India on 2nd December with a price tag of INR 1.99 crore (Ex-showroom, Delhi). Bollywood actor John Abraham, who is the brand ambassador for Nissan India, became the first customer of the 2017 GT-R in the country.

What most people don’t know is that John’s GT-R is not the regular model but a Black edition model, the only one of its type in India. A few updates that can help differentiate 2017 Nissan GT-R Black edition from the regular model include an all-black theme for the exterior as well as the interior. For the exteriors, the GT-R black edition receives a black paintjob, black alloy wheels and contrast orange brake calipers. Inside, model is equipped with a black headliner, seats with black and red accents along with red stitching on the dashboard as well as the door pads.

Engine specifications remain unchanged and hence this GT-R black edition continues to be powered by the 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine that produces 562 hp at 6000 rpm while the peak torque is rated at 637 Nm. The engine sends power to the wheels via six speed dual clutch transmission. This powertrain enables the GT-R to sprint from 0-100 kmph in less than 3 seconds all the way up to a top speed of 315 kmph.
