A couple of weeks ago we had reported that the deliveries of the 2017 Nissan GT-R has already commenced in India ahead of its launch for a booking amount of INR 25 Lakhs. A couple of models were already seen plying on road and were reported to have reached their customers. Interestingly, Bollywood actor John Abraham is the first Indian customer of the 2017 Nissan GT-R! The Godzilla has been launched in India for a price at INR 1.99 Crore (Ex-Showroom Delhi).
Well, today is the day when the new 2017 edition of the Godzilla has been officially launched in the country. The event took place at a venue in the heart of Mumbai city. At the said event, the folks at Nissan stated that in the first phase of operations the 2017 Nissan GT-R will only be retailed through Nissan Performance Centre located in Noida.
And till date the company has received almost 300 inquiries for the car. The Godzilla will be available in India in 7 colour options that include – Katsura Orange, Pearl Black, Gun Metallic, Ultimate Silver, Daytona Blue, Vibrant Red, and Storm White.
The 2017 GT-R gets Nissan’s state of the art 3.8-litre engine mated to a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission. This kick-ass V6 24-valve twin-turbocharged can fire out a power of 562 horses at 6,800 rpm and a max torque of 637Nm. The V6 can take the GT-R to 100kmph mark from a standstill in just under 3 seconds before maxing out at a top-speed of 315kmph.
The sports car benefits from an All-Wheel Drive and Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) systems that are claimed to be more advanced than the ones used in any other road cars. Its 3-mode system gives you three switches that allow for on-the-fly adjustment of specific performance parameters for the transmission, suspension, and VDC system.
