It wouldn’t be wrong at all to call the second round of the MRF Challenge 2010 as the perfect motorsport race mixture of great finishes, exciting rides, and mind boggling stunts and not to forget, the wonderful crowd. Excitement had reached its peak level amongst the entire crowd during the stunt show and at the finale which ended with a photo-finish in the last race of the day.
MRF Formula 1600cc Race 1
The MRF Formula 1600cc race was a spectacular event. The presence of Gaurav Gill and Chris Wootton gave a boost to the crowds’ enthusiasm. Ashwin established and held on to a lead straightway in Race 1. However, there was cut-throat competition for the second and third place. Finally, the second and third place was taken by Amer Beg and Chris Wootton respectively. Equally exciting was the second race of the Formula 1600cc. But, this time Ashwin slipped to the 6th position giving Ajay Kini the lead position in the race. Ashwin however had a stunning comeback that very well amused the crowd. In the second and third position were Amer Beg and Ashwin Sundar respectively.

David Jones at the corner
The Super bike 600cc event was no different from the MRF Formula 1600cc event in terms of excitement. David Jones had evidently reserved his “first position” in both is races through his remarkable performance. After him were Gavin Michale and Roger Maher who stood second and third respectively in both races.

The crowds were amused by the extreme stunts displayed by Javier Villegas and Matt Schubring from the US and Jorel Dermudez from Australia. A sense of addictiveness to watching the incredible stunts swept through the crowd which made them hungry for even more. Some incredible back flips, mid air twirls, super man and many more were in the list of stunts performed by the experts. Apart from motorsports, the crowd was entertained by the melodious voices and tunes of Anuradha Sriram and Naresh.
