Meet Pooey, “ADVrider.com” mascot, world traveller, male, woollen descendent of the Ostrich family and has the uncanny ability to dry hump all animal forms. The stuffed birdie is part of a global motorcycle relay that aims to raise money for health care organizations that provide relief in difficult to reach places. Pooey has already transversed every state in United States (including Alaska) and Canada and each state capital and various regional centres in Australia. He has also ridden through New Zeland and is in India currently. Once the Indian leg is complete, he will be off to Turkey, Scotland and beyond.

Pooey’s world tour on a motorcycle is being organized by members of “ADVrider.com”. The website is a forum for adventure seeking and long distance motorcycle riders. Pooey’s is also seeking donations for charity which will go to “riders.org”. On the Australian leg of his global odyssey the Australian members of AdvRider traveling with Pooey helped him raise funds for The Royal Flying Doctor Service too.

Pooey’s relay ride has a very intresting concept. The members of “ADVriders.com” have to transport the mascot bird to various states within a country. Each member also has to share pictures and stories about their interaction with Pooey apart from roping in donations for “riders.org”. In each relay stage, a rider has to take into account the arrangements for surrender of Pooey made by the previous and succeding rider. A rider is not limited to any particular route and it is not neccessary for him/her to ride across an entire state. A rider is allowed to mark and follow any route within a state.

The following is a photo feature detailing Pooey’s relay ride experience. The following pictures have been taken by numerous “ADVrider.com” members who were up to the task of giving Pooey a ride till his next scheduled destination. You can check Pooey’s complete travelogue at the ADVrider website. Dont forget to send in your monetary contributions to advpooey@yahoo.com. ADV t-shirts and stickers are also up for grabs. We at Motoroids wish Pooey luck in achieving his objectives. Ride Pooey Ride!
