Bajaj Kratos VS400 to be renamed as the Bajaj Dominar?

All we have been reporting about the all new upcoming power cruiser from Bajaj is about its postponed launch dates, spy pics, and name changes. It all started when the Indian bike manufacturer showcased the Pulsar CS400 at the 2014 Auto Expo. At that time, it was called the CS400 wherein CS stood for Cruiser Sports. Later, it got renamed as the VS400, where VS purportedly denoted Vantage Sports. Then it was decided that the VS400 will be launched under a new brand name, because Rajiv Bajaj reckoned that the Pulsar name was too commonplace to be used on a flagship. The new brand will mark Bajaj’s entry into a new premium segment.

The top officials of the company had also confirmed that the bike will be launched in November 2016. Now in latest news that has hit the shores reports that the upcoming cruiser will not bear the Kratos name and won’t launch in November. The cruiser will be called as the Bajaj Dominar. It is still unconfirmed if the VS400 label will be tagged along or not. Reportedly, Bajaj has not been able to obtain the rights to the name Kratos as some other Indian organisation already had it registered for their company. While Kratos VS400 is not happening, Dominar VS400 it is. Speaking of the launch, due to this unforeseen ‘renaming’ task, the bike maker has postponed the launch of its flagship. Apparently, Bajaj is looking at December for the official debut of the bike.
