Hyundai Venue Test mule besides Vitara Brezza

Hyundai Venue & Maruti Vitara Brezza Spotted Going Side By Side

The Hyundai Venue has created a lot of buzz prior to its launch. Hyundai’s latest offering in the fast-growing segment of sub-4-metre SUVs, bookings of the Venue shall commence from the 2nd of May. Ahead of its launch, it seems that the car is undergoing its very final rounds of testing, and was captured in a video by YouTube channel ‘BMC HD Videos.’ The car seen in this video appears to be a more affordable variant of this compact SUV, missing out on quite a few features discussed ahead. Near the end of this video, a Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza happens to make an appearance, and there comes a time where both these SUVs are side by side.

Despite being the same in length, the Brezza looks much larger than the Venue. The Hyundai manages to hide its proportions and has a more compact design, which buyers of a compact SUV wouldn’t really mind. As we mentioned above, the test mule appears to be a lower variant, which misses out on quite a few features on the outside. For instance, the alloy wheels have been replaced by steel wheels and come with wheel caps, the DRLs are replaced by a chrome strip, the projector units are replaced by conventional units. Moreover, the side blinkers are integrated into the fender, not the rearview mirrors and chrome garnishes also have been skimped on many places like the door handles.

The lack of a request sensor indicates that the car will get a conventional key ignition system inside. We also expect some other features too, like the BlueLink technology, electric sunroof and the touchscreen infotainment system, to be absent in this variant. With three engines on offer, a 1-litre & 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.4-litre oil burner, the Hyundai Venue will be launched in the Indian market on the 21st of May. We shall know the exact pricing of this SUV too on the said date, so stay tuned for more news and do watch this video capturing the test mule.
