Update 7:

Prices not revealed. Expected price bracket declared between Rs 60,000-70,000 – closer to the Rs 60,000 mark. Production will commence from February 5 while deliveries are likely to begin in March.

Parts made out of the metal from INS Vikrant: Fuel Tank Assembly. To commence with, Bajaj has per month capacity of 20,000 motorcycles for the new V.

The new Bajaj V revealed. The motorcycle will be available in ebony black and pearl white colour options.

Update 3:

The motorcycle gets 150cc DTS-i engine that delivers 13 Nm of peak torque at 5500 rpm and 12 Nm at 3000 rpm. The motorcycle also gets a removable cowl as standard.

Update 2:

The motorcycle has been named as Bajaj V. The product gets a V15 tag on the side panel which hints towards a 150cc motor.

The event commences with the National Anthem. Bajaj plans to create a new segment in commuter bikes with its new motorcycle.

As promised, Bajaj will be unveiling its brand new product, teased with a new “V” logo in a promotional video, at an event in Delhi today. What’s special about the motorcycle is that it receives scrapped metal from the aircraft carrier of the Indian Navy, INS Vikrant. Rumours suggest that the motorcycle would be called V150 Exclusive and was already spied earlier.

But the decommissioned aircraft carrier’s metal is expected to last only for the next couple of years into manufacturing the motorcycle. Thus upcoming motorcycle will either receive an update after two years, or will be discontinued, given the state of demand.
