As a part of the Sports Zone of their exhibit, Tata unveiled the hotly anticipated Tiago JTP hot hatch. The hatch has been developed by JT Special Vehicles Pvt. Ltd., a joint venture between Tata Motors and Jayem Automotives Pvt. Ltd. Tata hopes that it will be able to cater to the customers who love the thrill of sport and performance.
The hatch has received a slew of changes in keeping with the sporty identity of the car. Up front, the car gets a redesigned front bumper with a splitter at the bottom. The grille receives a blacked out treatment and the headlamps get a similar smoked finish. The hood also gets an air intake at the top which makes its sporty intentions clear.
Move to the side and you will notice a cladding beneath the door sill along with a faux grille around the indicators. The ORVMs feature a contrast orange highlight and the car also gets upsized, aggressively styled rims.
The rear bumper has been redesigned to incorporate another faux grille and diffuser around the number plate enclosure. A red JTP badge and twin chrome exhaust tips round up the changes at the back.
The color scheme outside also seeps into the interiors which also receive orange highlights around the AC vents. The seats receive black leather treatment with sporty red JTP badging.
Tata is yet to reveal the engine and gearbox combination of the Tiago JTP but we expect it to be powered by the Nexon’s 1.2L Turbo-Charged Petrol motor that is good for 110 BHP power which should make this a very sprightly hot hatch indeed.
