2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza Review

The Maruti Suzuki Brezza in its brand new Avtar is ready to roll on the road. With added features and a bunch of new updates, the Brezza facelift is as good as a new-generation SUV. Priced between ₹8 lakh and ₹13.80 lakh, the Brezza has surely become more upmarket in terms of its positioning as well. Design

The modern takeover of Brezza is 30-40 kg heavier than the previous version, the new body panels add up to the weight of the car. The wheelbase, width and length of the New Brezza are still the same as the previous but the Height is increased by 45 mm making it the tallest car in the segment. From a design perspective, the Brezza is now more flat and muscular which gives it a slimmer and wider look. The tall Bonet shines tall with a new grille and Suzuki logo in the middle. Other exterior features include an LED light setup, and a 360° camera. The increased greenhouse space makes it look more outdoorsy. Overall it looks more solid than before and the attractive wheels add to its beauty. The new Brezza offers 6 colours to choose from and 3 dual-tone options. It also gets functional roof rails with a 40 kg capacity. The shark fin antenna and the little spoiler at the back add a sporty touch while the redesigned taillamps add up to the width of the car. 

Interior

The Brezza comes with a whole bunch of new features. The cabin is brightened by the sunroof, head-up display (HUD), top-of-the-line 9-inch infotainment system with voice command, Suzuki connect, inbuilt Alexa and great touch response, wireless charger, 360° camera, improved sound quality and well-designed dashboard. Steering is quite inert in the center and has tilt and telescopic features while the boot space of Brezza is 328 litres. The ideal seat height, Adjustable Driver seat, ample head and knee room at the rear seats and 60/40 split seats are other good features of this car. 

Performance

The new Brezza gets an engine with dual jet and dual VVT. Powered by a 1.5 litre naturally aspirated Petrol engine the Brezza has more usability and efficiency than others in the segment. The power output of this engine is 103 ps whereas the torque is 137 nm which makes it more powerful and intent. It goes from 0-100 in 13 seconds. The manual 5-speed gearbox has short throws. The mileage and fuel efficiency of the Brezza is 20kmpl but it can easily get 21-22 kmpl on open highways. The fuel capacity is 48 litres. The Brezza now also gets an option for 6 speed automatic and paddles shifter but the diesel option is not available in the new Brezza.

Handling

The increased tractability, usability and efficiency of the 2022 Brezza facelift comes with a refined unit. With the most powerful naturally aspirated Petrol engine there is no turbo lag the Brezza moves very easily even in the fifth gear without any stuttering. You won’t have to shift the gear much even when driving in the city. The progress is very linear from the bottom of the rave range, although the engine makes a little noise. The gearbox is slick and is easy to handle even in stop/start traffic. The car is more absorbent over the bad surface and it rides more like and European car.
