You Can Now Pre-Book The Audi e-Tron Or e-Tron Sportback

After the launch of the Jaguar I-Pace and the Mercedez EQC, Audi fans have been waiting for the India launch of Audi’s premium electric SUV the e-tron and the performance-oriented e-tron Sportback. Audi India has finally opened the pre-booking for the electric SUVs today. One can get either of the SUVs booked by paying ₹5 lakh.

The e-tron will be offered in an SUV and a Sportback avatar in India. Both these models will be taking the completely built-up (CBU) route to India. The price of both the cars has not been revealed yet and we expect them to be announced during the launch which is slated for 22nd July.

Power & Battery

The 55 e-tron Quattro (Sportback) produces 174 bhp and 310 Nm of torque. It does 0-100 in just 5.7 seconds and tops out at 200 kmph. It also has a boost mode where it produces a whopping 402 hp and 664 Nm of torque. The range for this version is 365 to 436 km on a single charge on the WLTP cycle. On the other hand, The e-tron 50 Quattro (SUV) gets 174 hp and 310 Nm of torque. It can achieve 0-100 in 6.6 seconds and top out at 200 km/h. The WLTP cycle range is 276 to 336km. Audi claims that a 150 kW DC fast charger can charge the 95 kWh battery of the e-tron to 80% in just 30 minutes.  A standard 11 kW wall charger will take around 8 hours to fully charge the vehicle.

Design & Features

The e-tron gets a large single-frame grille which will set it apart from its ICE-powered siblings. It also gets the Audi signature Matrix LED headlamps with LED DRLs and a wrap wrap-around LED taillamp. You will see a dual-tone treatment on the bumpers which also extends to the very stylish alloys of the car.

On the inside, the e-tron gets plush leather interiors along with a feature-rich 10.1-inch infotainment system and a large 12.3-inch instrument panel. The Bang & Olufsen music system will give the audiophiles something to smile about. Other features include four-zone climate control, ambient lighting, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, connected car tech, virtual cockpit, etc.
