Yet Another Mahindra Scorpio Special Edition Model Launched

While the highly anticipated Mahindra Scorpio facelift could be launched anytime now, Mahindra and Mahindra doesn’t seem to have given up on the existing model and in a move to push the sales of the Scorpio, have come up with yet another Mahindra Scorpio Special Edition model. Worth a mention here is that this is the third time that the manufacturer has launched this special edition model of the Scorpio.

On the outside, the new Mahindra Scorpio Special Edition boasts of chequered flag decals on the front bumper and front doors. The Scorpio Special Edition also gets new design for the alloy wheels, which come in a chrome finish. On the inside, the car gets brown “European” leather seats, 9-inch roof-mounted DVD player, leather-wrapped gear knob and steering wheel and a wood-finished center console. Only 500 units of the Mahindra Scorpio Special Edition would be ever built, unless the manufacturer launches it again sometime in near future. 😉

It is believed that similar to the last time this model was launched, the Special Edition has again been priced at INR 11.88 lakhs (ex-Showroom, New Delhi). The Special Edition is based on the top of the like trim level with manual transmission. Powering the car is the same 2.2-liter four-cylinder mHawk engine that powers the regular models. This engine has a max power of 120 bhp and peak torque of 290 Nm.
