Yamaha Motor India posts 20.5% sales growth in March 2013

Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd. has registered a growth of 20.5% in sales during March 2013 as compared to the corresponding period last year. The company continues to maintain an upward trend in sales on the back of its superb product line-up, the new scooter Ray, which has received stupendous response and innovative on- going marketing activities.

The company sold 35,782 units in March 2013 as against 29,819 units sold in March last year in the domestic markets thereby registering a domestic sales growth of 20%. In the Export markets the company sold 14,691 units in March 2013 as compared to 12,067 units in the same month last year achieving a growth of 22%. The overall sales stood at 50,473 units in March 2013 while 41,886 units were sold in March 2012, thereby registering a 20.5% overall growth.
