Two new Ssangyong Concepts are reportedly headed to the Paris Auto Show. Called the XIV-Air and XIV-Adventure, this couple previews the upcoming compact SUV from the South Korean manufacturer- the X100.
Teased through renders, the XIV-Adventure (in khaki green), XIV-Air(in silver) will benefit from Ssangyong’s new design language- “Nature born — 3 Motion”, which will later be implemented on the upcoming X100. Prominent styling elements include shoulder line kinks above the wheel arches; blacked out A-pillars, a “floating” roof; big, authoritative headlamps bridged by a slim grille and tail-lights which curve into the rear haunches.
Both the XIV-Air (in silver) and XIV-Adventure (in khaki green) sit on a 2.6 metre long wheelbase and measure 4.195 metres from the front to the rear bumper. If those dimensions translate into the India bound X100, Mahindra & Mahindra, current owners of Ssangyong will just need to clip a little rear bumper work in order to get a sub- 4 meter length and then avail massive tax benefits for a competitive pricing.
Although not confirmed yet, the X100 can be ordered with either a 1.6-litre petrol motor or a 1.6-litre turbo-diesel. Both of these engines are expected to be of a new design. The X100 has been confirmed by Ssangyong and is expected in India by sometime next year.
🙂 good going 🙂
