According to Dennis McCarthy, picture car supervisor for Furious 7, the $3.4 million W Motors Lykan Hypersport is the most expensive car to have ever featured in the Fast & Furious franchise. The latest Furious 7 featurette highlights the first United Arab Emirates based super-car, the headlamps of which are jeweled up with white gold, as well as diamonds and sapphires. Needless to say, a sizeable part of the ludicrous price tag pays for the aforementioned embellishments. Built to order, the Lykan Hypersport is powered by a 3.7-liter twin-turbo flat six with 740 horsepower of power and 708 pound-feet of torque.
The featurette shows the ultra rare super-car (only 7 are said to be in existence ) being visibly trashed in the movie, before jumping off a skyscraper to its graphically curated demise. Furious 7, the seventh chapter of the popular Fast & Furious franchise, is all set for a April 3, 2015 release. Directed by James Wan, it stars a familiar cast, which includes Vin Diesel, late Paul Walker, Dwayne “Rock” Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Elsa Pataky and Lucas Black, apart from the introduction of Jason Statham in a villainous role.
