Volvo Cars come with world’s fourth most reliable engines

Swedish auto maker Volvo Cars finished fourth in the British insurance agency Warranty Direct’s list of the most reliable engine manufacturers.

Warranty Direct has compiled a list of how often insurance companies step in and cover the repair costs for various engine damages. In Volvo’s case, the figure is 1 in 111, which corresponds to an error rate of 0.9. Best of all manufacturers is Honda, with the rate 1 in 344. Worst of all automakers are MG Rover, followed by Audi. The likelihood of engine damage for Audi owners are 1 in 27, which corresponds to 3.71 percent.
