Volvo announces upgrades for 2013 S60, S80, V60 & V70

We, at Motoroids, have always liked the cars from Swedish car maker Volvo. Recently, the manufacturer gave us one more reason to like the cars as it announced updates for the 2013 model of S60, S80, V60 and V70.

The manufacturer has not revealed the pics of the new cars yet but the aforementioned cars will be seen sporting some additional aluminum trim and restyled wheels. The V70 gets a revised grille and the models should come with an option of active high beam headlights which automatically switch between the high beam and low beams. A new tunnel detection system ensures that the headlights are turned on automatically on entering a tunnel.

On the inside, the cars will get an illuminated gearshift knob and a road sign information system that detects and displays road signs in the instrument panel.

Mechanically, the cars will get a new 2.0-liter five-cylinder diesel engine that should be good for about 135 BHP and 350 Nm of pulling force. It is a matter of time these upgrades will be brought to the Indian market. Watch out for this space.
