Ahead of its launch that is likely to take place in the next few days, Volkswagen India has shared the details of the Vento Sport on its official website. Over the standard Vento, the Sport edition comes equipped with a set of visual updates to the exterior of the sedan.
The Volkswagen Vento Sport will come equipped with faux carbon fibre finish for the ORVM’s, chrome ‘Sport’ badges on the front fenders on either side, gloss black roof, 16 inch Portago alloy wheels, black decals on the side and a spoiler finished in a shade of gloss black.
Volkswagen India has not revealed any details regarding the changes to the interior although the model, which is based on the top-end Highline Plus variant, will feature a touchscreen infotainment system with MirrorLink and reverse camera, electrically foldable ORVMs, leather wrapped gear knob and steering wheel, ABS, dual airbags and ESP. Also on offer are LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs.
Engine specifications on the Volkswagen Vento Sport are likely to remain unchanged and hence will be offered with the same range of petrol and diesel engines. The petrol models are available with a 1.2-litre TSI petrol engine mated to a seven speed DSG unit and a 1.6-litre MPI petrol engine paired to a five speed manual unit while the 1.5-litre TDI unit can be had with a five speed manual or a DSG unit.
