It is no secret that the Volkswagen Passat sedan isn’t really setting sales charts on fire in India. Rather, the condition is so bad that there have been several rumors of VW deciding to discontinue selling the D segment sedan in the country. While VW has dismissed off all such rumors, it could be a matter of time before it actually pulls the plug on its D segment contender.

In UK though, the Passat is several times more successful and has been among the ‘bread-and-butter’ models for the manufacturer. And to further elevate the popularity of the sedan, Volkswagen has introduced new Executive and Executive Style trim levels for the UK market.

The Executive trim level starts from 22,900 GBP for the sedan and 24,310 GBP for the estate and comes with additional features such a set of five 17-inch Michigan alloys, additional exterior chrome accents and black roof rails for the estate variant. On the inside, the car gets a touchscreen sat-nav system, Vienna leather upholstery, heated front seats and electrically-adjustable driver’s seat. The new trim level also brings along a dual climate control system, automatic lights and wipers, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, cruise control, as well as front and rear parking sensors.

The Executive Style trim level costs 23,895 GBP for the sedan variant and 25,305 GBP for the station wagon and comes along with a 15mm lowered sports suspension, 18-inch Kansas rims, front fog lights, bi-xenon headlights and a tinted rear glass along with all the features that are available on the Executive trim.

Both the new Executive and Executive Style trims are on sale starting today and have replaced the Highline, Sport and R-Line trims.

Quite obviously, the new trim levels are NOT coming to India.
