Man dragged for 500 mtrs

A Gurgaon man was dragged for over half a kilometer on the bonnet of a Honda City as the runaway driver tried to escape the situation. The unnamed runaway driver crashed into Prateek Kumar’s vehicle.

Kumar, who was travelling with his three year-old son, was on his way to a relative’s home on Monday evening when the incident took place. Kumar said, “I came out of the car and demanded compensation for the damage. At first, the driver spoke normally and asked me to park for discussions. But as soon as he sat in the car, he pressed on the accelerator to speed away.”

Kumar tried to chase the driver but he tumbled and fell on the Honda City’s bonnet. The driver, however, did not stop but continued to escape the incident as he dragged Kumar for half a kilometer. The runaway driver also allegedly hit five other motorcyclists in his bid to escape.

Kumar also claimed that police denied from filing an complain as he did not have any visible injury marks or fractures. Kumar had to present the CCTV footage captured on the camera of a local shop as a proof in order to register an FIR.

Police are yet to track down the runaway driver. Here is the CCTV footage of the incident:
