The facelift 2015 Hyundai Verna that is expected to hit the showrooms very soon has been spotted without any camouflage or disguise. And as we anticipated earlier, it looks exactly like its Russian counterpart, the Solaris. So now we can be sure that the 2015 Verna will receive projector headlamp. However, we were having a difficult time spotting the LED daytime running lights and assume that they are likely to be seen on the top of the line variant only. The front end also receives a two slat grille along with a redesigned bumper. The rear gets a newly designed bumper and tail lamps. The rear bumpers also receives integrated reflector.

We are still not sure about the powermill but mechanically, the car is likely to remain the same. So expect to see the 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines that are found on the current generation Verna. The 1.6-litre petrol engine churns out 121 hp of power and 155 Nm of torque. The 1.6-litre diesel, on the other hand, puts out 126 hp of power and 259 Nm of torque. The current generation Verna also comes with a 1.4-litre diesel unit which pumps out 89 hp of power and 224 Nm of torque.

In search of details, we also got our hands on a Russian video which displays the Hyundai Solaris inside out. The interiors on the India spec 2015 Verna facelift are also likely to be similar. Here is the video:

We expect to see the new 2015 Hyundai Verna in showrooms early next year. Once launched, the new Verna will compete against the Honda City and the recently introduced and quick attention gaining Maruti Ciaz.

So, after going through these details, would you wait for the new Hyundai Verna to hit the Indian shores in 2015 or buy the recently introduced Maruti Ciaz or the tried and tested Honda City?
