Along with the updated Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R, the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show also served as the platform that saw the unveiling of the two new variants of the 2016 ZZR1400 a.k.a ZX-14R for certain markets. The revised 2016 models feature upgrades to comply with the Euro4 regulations. The new 2016 ZX-14R and ZX-14R Performance Sport receive a host of engine and chassis modifications for better refinement as both the motorcycles continue to deliver 200 PS of power while meeting the latest Euro4 emission regulations.

The new 2016 Kawasaki ZX-14R duo come equipped with a new instrument cluster featuring high-visibility dials and LCD displays using a dot-pattern background, plus black/white interchangeable displays for easy reading in both day and night time.

The ZX-14R Performance Sport model receives more upgrades over the already feature rich standard variant in the form of new Brembo M50 monobloc brake calipers, which combine with a Brembo radial-pump master cylinder and stainless steel brake lines and supply good stopping power. The Performance Sport model also features an Öhlins TTX39 rear shock absorber with settings unique to the ZX-14R, plus Akrapovic silencers.
