While still in production, and due for general release on 6 November 2015, MGM Studios have released the very first teaser trailer of its SPECTRE motion picture, the 24th iteration of the James Bond franchise. Directed by Sam Mendes, SPECTRE will see Daniel Craig play Bond for the fourth time, while also starring Monica Bellucci and Christopher Waltz.
What’s more relevant here is that the teaser gives us a glimpse of the Aston Martin DB 10 (above), a hero car based on the V12 Vantage, that has been developed specifically for the film and built in-house by the brand’s design and engineering teams.
Celebrating the great British brand’s half century with James Bond, which started with the iconic DB5, the DB10 gives previews the future design direction for the next generation of Aston Martins. A very limited amount is earmarked for production – ten bespoke units will be built, or rather handcrafted at Aston Martin’s Gaydon headquarters.
“A cryptic message from Bond’s past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organisation. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE.”
