Jaguar F-Pace (7)

Previewed internationally at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, the F-PACE is the first ever Jaguar training its eyes on the lusted after SUV segment. Not an SUV in the traditional sense, the F-Pace performance crossover is aimed at a keener driver, who wants on-road performance without compromising off-road capability.

Featuring cutting edge tech in the form on an aluminium-magnesium construction, with advanced aerodynamics, the F-Pace draws power from a variety of new petrol and diesel engines from Jaguar’s Ingenium family of powerplants. Topping the food chain is the 380 PS, supercharged V6 petrol engine sourced from the F-Type, which makes the performance crossover sprint from 0-100 kph in about 5 seconds and all the way to an electronically-limited top speed of 250 km/h.

A torque-on-demand all-wheel-drive system feeds power to all four corners for maximum traction in all conditions. With its generous 4,731mm length and 2,874mm wheelbase, the F-pace can accommodate five adults with ease, and carry all their stuff for a week-long holiday with its capacious 650 litre boot.

The new car also boasts striking looks penned by the very talented Ian Callum. Arresting details include the full-LED headlights with ‘J’ blade Daytime Running Lights, a gaping front grille and the F-Type like tail lamps.
