Upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Spotted Abroad

Royal Enfield has planned a slew of new bikes which are expected to launch in the Indian market by next year. Out of these bikes, the Himalayan 450 is on cards and is already being tested by the company. Now, the Himalayan 450 has been spotted at a petrol pump in the UK and it reveals a lot of important details thanks to the lack of camouflage. Let’s take a look at it:

Though we only have one spy shot, it does reveal a lot of vital information like an upside-down fork at the front, a mono-shock at the rear, and 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke wheels. The mono-shock of this Himalayan 450 is longer than the previous and it also adds-on to the longer seats than the previous one. Other than this, the radiator can be seen placed on the cylinder head.

With these details, it can be said that the bike will come with a liquid-cooled engine which is different from other Royal Enfield motorcycles. The image also shows a large but vertically placed instrumental cluster. The fuel tank of Himalayan 450 is rather large and will be of a higher capacity when compared to its sibling. Compared with the 411, the Himlayan 450 also gets a stubbier exhaust end can and the tail design is also quite different. However, the Himalayan 450 shares a similar look to the current Himalayan 411.

The Himalayan 450 is expected to be equipped with features like dual-channel ABS, LED lighting all around, and a digital instrument cluster. Though Royal Enfield has not revealed any information about the Himalayan 450, the motorcycle being spotted in the production-ready form hints that it could be launched next year. The Himalayan 450 will be positioned above the Himalayan 411 and other than the expected feature set, we expect Royal Enfield to offer more differentiating features as well such as a more powerful motor and more off-road capabilities. Looking at the current ADV motorcycle market, the Himalayan 450 will compete with the KTM 390 Adventure and the Yezdi Adventure.
