We reported in detail when we learnt that British premium car maker Bentley intends to come up with a new four door coupe that would rival the BMW M6 Gran Coupe and the Mercedes CLS63 AMG. Now, here is a rendering which shows what the upcoming entry level Bentley four door coupe could look like.

The entry level Bentley model would find itself positioned below the Continental GT and car is expected to be launched in 2018, for a starting price of 125,000 Euros.

In size, the car won’t be too different from the Continental GT. The Continental GT measures 4.8 metres in length, which means that there are good chances that the upcoming entry level Bentley four door coupe would measure less than 5 metres in length. Bentley aims to sell upto 6,000 units of the upcoming model annually.

Power options haven’t been yet revealed but we expect the car to get a range of V6 motors.

The car will be based on Porsche’s MSB platform. It may be noted that this is the same platform that would underpin the second gen Porsche Panamera. The Porsche MSB platform would also underpin the Mulsanne and next Continental GT. This platform would ensure that weight remains under check. It is expected that the next Continental GT would be as much as 450 kgs lighter than the current car.

The next gen Continental GT is expected to come in 2015, with the four door coupe arriving only in 2018.
