Upcoming BMW S1000 Adventure images surface

BMW-S1000-Adventure-1

While BMW Motorrad already has accomplished touring models such as the R1200GS, it now plans to come up with a slightly street-biased, superbike-influenced competition to counter the likes of the Ducati Multistrada and Aprilia Caponord. The upcoming model, currently being called as the BMW S1000 Adventure, is based on the highly successful S1000 superbike.

Currently, from whatever these BMW S1000 Adventure images reveal, we know that the upcoming model will share many chassis components with the S1000R naked bike. Even the 17-inch wheels and Brembo radial-mount brakes will be shared from the aforementioned motorcycle. The 999cc inline four that will power this model will be electronically tweaked for better all-around performance.

The is likely to get a new subframe, that will help in making more room for a passenger and hard bags. A larger fairing with the requisite beak will be found at the front end.  The bike is expected to come with variable ride modes, traction control, ABS, and optional Dynamic Damping Control electronic suspension. As can be made out, the bike looks almost production ready, and could be unveiled around the last quarter of this year, as a 2015 model.
