After getting spotted in Chennai last month (CLICK HERE for our earlier story on the 2014 Yamaha FZ Facelift), the upcoming 2014 Yamaha FZ Facelift has been spotted in Delhi. Akin to the previous sighting, the bike looks completely ready and doesn’t have as much as a hint of camouflage on its body. The 2014 Yamaha FZ Facelift could be launched in a couple of months of time the updated bike can be seen sporting many visual updates, all of which work together to bestow the motorcycle with a sense of freshness that should enable the aging model to soldier on for few more years and fend off the heat from new rivals such as the Suzuki Gixxer 155.

The upcoming Yamaha FZ V2.0 facelift looks much like the FZ Concept model that was showcased Delhi Auto Expo earlier this year. The bike gets a sportier looking exhaust, new air scoops near the fuel tank, a slightly different tail light and a number plate bracket that is sportier than that on the current bike.  Also, the FZ’s single seat unit has been replaced by twin split seats arrangement and the bike loses its kick-start mechanism. Other than all this, the FZ has also received clear lens indicators and an updated centre console, which looks somewhat like the one on the Honda CB Trigger

While rumors regarding the FZ facelift’s powerplant have been many, we believe that powering the 2014 Yamaha FZ facelift would be a more powerful version of the same 150cc engine that powers the current model. Peak power could be pegged at 15PS, with torque too being considerably higher.

We await the launch of the FZ Series facelift. Stay tuned to Motoroids for more images and details of the Yamaha FZ V2.0 facelift.

Also, the FZ’s single seat unit has been replaced by twin split seats arrangement. The bike also gets clear lens indicators and an updated centre console, which looks somewhat like the one on the Honda CB Trigger

Powering the Yamaha FZ facelift would be a more powerful engine, which could be a re-bored 170cc version of the current engine. Power is speculated to be around 16PS, with torque too being considerably higher.
