It has by now become a well known fact that the Land Rover Discovery is in the process of getting a facelift. The Land Rover Discovery aka LR4 facelift has been spotted on several occasions and now, patent images of the upcoming model have leaked on to the cyber space.
One look at these image is enough to realize that the upcoming Discovery facelift’s hood would have the word ‘Discovery’ on it. Interestingly, all the Land Rover vehicles have the word ‘Land Rover’ on them. This latest development has given birth to a rumor that the manufacturer might be planning to launch a new Discovery line up of vehicles. Also new to the Disco facelift are the headlights, which seem to have got daytime running lamps. Other new bits include a new front bumper with revised skid plate and integrated trafficators for the wing mirrors.
It is being said that the upcoming 2014 Land Rover Discover will come with F-Type’s 380PS V6 instead of its current 5.0-liter V8. The motor will come mated to an 8 speed auto box.
It won’t be too surprising if the 2014 Land Rover Discovery is unveiled at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show.
