Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India has reported positive year on year sales figures for the month of March 2015 as the two-wheeler manufacturer clocked overall sales of 399,178 against 392,060 in the corresponding month last year, registering a growth of two percent.
In domestic market, motorcycle sales came down to 145,508 units in March 2015 against 178,035 units in March 2014. The scooter business, however, delivered positive results. Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India managed to sell 238,919 units of scooter in the month of March 2015 against 196,191 units in March 2014.

Exports too suffered in March 2015 as Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India clocked sales of 14,751 against 17,834 in March 2014. But despite the negative growth in domestic motorcycle and the export market, this is the second highest dispatch of Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India after September ’14 (Festival Billing).
Elaborating its expansion plans, Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India announced that the additional capacity of 6 lac units to be operational before the end of 2016. Honda also unveiled the prices of two new products – Dio (ex-showroom Delhi: Rs 47,851/-) and Dream Neo (ex-showroom Delhi: Rs 49,034).
