Last week, TVS announced a price hike of INR 8,000 on its flagship motorcycle, the Apache RR310 which now retails for INR 2.13 lakh (ex-showroom). However, another TVS product recently received a price cut. TVS has dropped the prices of its 110cc scooter, the Wego by INR 2,000. The scooter now retails for INR 50,165 (ex-showroom Delhi) for the standard version and INR 53,083 (ex-showroom Delhi) for the disc brake variant. The price cut is aimed to boost the sales of the Wego.
The 110cc gets a long list of features which includes:
- Body Balance Technology with a telescopic front suspension and a nitrogen gas charged rear suspension
- Teflon coated bushes and triple rates springs on the rear suspension
- Sync Brake System (SBS)
- Higher Ground Clearance
- All Black Alloy Wheels which are claimed to be Free of Rusting
- Anti-skid hysteresis seat that is designed to offer better comfort, even on long rides
Mechanically, the scooter uses a 109.7cc 4 Stroke, Single Cylinder, air-cooled engine that is tuned to deliver 5.88 kW/7.88 hp of power at 7,500 rpm and 8.4 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. Stopping power is provided by a 130 mm drum brakes at both ends while a 220 mm disc brake is available as an option on the front wheel.
