Triumph Motorcycles India To Launch At Least Four New Products In 2018: Vimal Sumbly

Triumph Motorcycles India MD, Vimal Sumbly, in a recent conversation with news agency PTI, confirmed that the two-wheeler brand will bring at least four new products in 2018. Moreover, Sumbly also stated that the Indian arm of the British marque will concentrate on expanding its reach to tier-II cities and targets 10-15 percent of the total sales from those markets, from the current 7-8 percent.

In an recent interview, Sumbly said, “Our target for next year is that 10-15 percent of our total sales should come from tier-II cities.”

The brand is also focusing on expanding its dealer network and aims to add three more outlets by March 2018. He added, “We are also increasing our dealer network. By March 2018, we will have 17 dealerships, up from 14 at present. The target is to have 20 by the end of next year.”

What products to expect from Triumph Motorcycles India in 2018?

While Sumbly remained tight-lipped about the finer details, he did confirm that Triumph Motorcycles India will introduce its Classic Cruiser, along with a new Adventure range in the first and second quarters of next year in the Indian market. The new Adventure range will comprise of the new, updated Tiger 800 and Tiger 1200 motorcycles that were unveiled at the EICMA Motorcycle Show 2017.
